PRCA offers free training webinars to furloughed staff

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has offered furloughed members of the industry unlimited free access to its training webinars, as its latest measure to support the industry through the COVID-19 crisis.

This offer gives furloughed employees the opportunity to attend one virtual classroom training session and grants them access to a broad range of PRCA webinars until the end of May.

The offer is open to all practitioners, regardless of whether their employer is a PRCA corporate member or not.

PRCA Director General, Francis Ingham MPRCA, said:

“We are determined to do everything possible to support our industry. By offering furloughed practitioners unlimited free access to all of our training webinars between now and the end of May, we’ll help them keep their skills up to date; stay in contact with fellow professionals; and fill some of their undesired downtime in a productive and often fun way. We’d encourage furloughed practitioners and their employers to take full advantage of this offer over the next six weeks.”

The move follows the PRCA’s decision to offer six months’ free individual membership to anyone adversely affected by the crisis.
